I once had a frightening experience with haunted objects. The objects were antique chairs that belonged to a roommate’s friend who needed a place to store some furniture for a while. As soon as the furniture arrived, the house felt very dark. Then I started to hear people talking when I was alone in the house. The voices sounded just like my roommates having a conversation in another room. I would look for them only to discover I was completely alone. That scenario would occur repeatedly through the day or evening until my roommates finally came home.

The worst experience happened one night when I awoke to my bed rocking back and forth and the light rapidly flashing on and off. I felt completely paralyzed and frightened. It lasted a couple of minutes until I asked Jesus for help and it immediately stopped.

One of my roommates also had a similar experience that same night. I then asked for the furniture to be removed as soon as possible. Once the furniture was gone, the strange experiences ended.

It turns out that the furniture had been handed down in the family through relatives who had lived during the Holocaust.

That's quite an experience! I've picked up "feelings" before from antiques, but never anything as dramatic as that. However, I'm a big believer in not taking chances! That's why I always buy new stuff, even though I like antiques. Some friends of ours are always "haunting" the antiques stores, so to speak, and they've acquired some wonderful pieces. I find myself tempted at times, but then I remind myself what could happen. Outside of family heirlooms (and there are only a few of them), the only "previously owned" object we have in our house is an antique mirror. It's fine, except for a slight vibration or buzz to it that I notice every once in a while. Not sure what that is, maybe just a memory attachment of some sort.
